2011 SweetWood Temenos Sabbaths, Festival and EventsThis year we Honor the Sun Goddess and Moon God in our Sabbaths and FestivalSpring Equinox celebration Saturday March 19th.Ritual at 3:00 pm with feast afterward and fire into evening. Bring food and/or drink to share. Dress for the weather and depending on field road conditions may need to walk back to the circle and celebration. Spring Earth Keepers Gathering Friday April 22nd through Sunday April 24thPlanting, grounds keeping, water sharing, feast and fire. Earth Keepers who attend this event, may camp the weekend. Ritual at 3:00 pm
We値l meet in the sacred circle in the woods and celebrate its mystery with a maypole ritual dance. Come early and enjoy the spring upon the wood and field. Bring some food and drink to share afterwards and we値l provide the fire. Bring drums and other musical instruments and we値l eat drink and make merry all in the circle and celebrate Beltaine.
Friday night there will be around the fire in the circle a discussion of Beltaine, lore, meaning and its 21st century future.
If the weather is not fair for outside actives after the ritual we値l retire to our house on the land to make merry.
Sweetwood Temenos Memorial Day weekend Open house campout is Friday May 27th through Monday May 30th.friendly folk to Sweetwood Temenos may come and visit Sweetwood Temenos for the day, see the place, picnic, walk it woods and fields and talk to members about Sweetwood Temenos. All friendly folk to Sweetwood Temenos must ask and so be invited to stay overnight (camp) during this weekend. We値l have a fire in the circle and a shelter to sit under if it rains. There is a suggested donation of $10 per night per tent or $25 for all three days (children tents do not count). The donated money will go to pay the expenses of a special events permit and appropriate number of porta potties for the number of campers. Summer Solstice Celebration Saturday June 18thRitual at 6:00 pm with feast afterward and fire into evening. Bring food and/or drink to share. Friday June 18th, members and friends may come and spend the night on the land, do some grounds keeping over the weekend, enjoy the long day light and summer nights and add love to the land. The Summer Solstice ritual will be a "Sun Worshiper's" ritual where all those who participate will be asked to be Sky Clad (naked) in this ritual. The ritual honors the goodness, beauty and divinity of being naked. It is a celebration of the emotional maturity of being an adult and beholding one another in this manner as sacred.
