20th Annual FREEDOM FESTIVAL
June 30th thru July 5th, 2016
At SweetWood Temenos, WI

SweetWood Temenos is a place where people of like mind and shared values can camp, picnic, contemplate, honor the passing of life’s seasons, create personal shrines, learn and recreate. SweetWood Temenos is place where the Human community & the community of Nature can co-exist in peace and harmony.
Come enjoy & share this beautiful forest eco-system dedicated to the Green Growth of
Eco-Human Community. This gathering will be held on a 40-acre parcel in southwestern Wisconsin in the Driftless area. It has a mix of open hayfield, pine and mixed hardwoods.

Firewood is plentiful.(Please don't bring firewood due to emerald ash borer pest problem). The site is clothing optional. A large circle in the woods has been cleared for ritual and celebration. There is limited electricity, 30x40 picnic shelter and water on site. La Farge is 5 miles away where food, ice, and gas can be obtained. Directions and other info will be sent to you when registration is received.

We now can take Freedom Fest registrations online via Paypal by Sunday June 28th. Just click on the Freedom Festival link on the home page, and follow the prompts. (If you still wish to send in a paper registration, see below for fees and the form to mail.)

If you wish to share your work/play shop, presentation, craft, ritual etc.
please contact Kim Ingersoll (aka Delta) at kjingersoll@mwt.net with: the title, a short description, and your preferred day(s) & times by June 20th 2016. Thanks! So far we have Tarot, Reiki, I Ching, Herb Walk and a talk about the Future of Religion ... (see the partial schedule below for more info.)

For many who gather each year around the Fourth of July at this main annual gathering of SweetWood members and friends, the time spent together provides a respite from our day-to-day distractions. We hope to contemplate, discuss, and celebrate, not only our present and how we got here, but also the vision we have for our future and that of generations that follow us.
Closer to the event we will have a more detailed schedule of events (workshops, activities and rituals planned for the 19th Annual Freedom Festival). Please note this festival is the prime fund raising event for our non-profit organization, SweetWood Temenos, which is a 501c.3 church, recognized by the State and Federal governments. All donations are tax deductible.

SCHEDULE INCLUDES:
► Freedom Festival’s Opening Ritual on Thursday, June 30th. At sunset the Fire
will be lit in the sacred circle as part of a welcoming and water sharing.

► The SweetWood Temenos “Thing” (general assembly - town hall meeting) at
noon on Saturday, July 2 to discuss SweetWood's progress, concerns, and other
topics of mutual interest to the assembled members, friends and guests. A
community potluck accompanies the “Thing.”

► The Main Ritual on Saturday evening, July 2, will celebrate the aspects of the
Moon God and Sun Goddess.

► A Symposium (a literal Greek translation meaning “a sharing together of water”)
on the topic of "to be announced" will be held the evening of Sunday July 3rd.
Watered wine (Greek style) will be provided. You may bring other drink or food for
yourself or to pass around the circle. The symposium welcomes stories, poetry,
boasting, toasting, thanksgiving, and lively discussion in a sacred space.

► Workshops and other activities for a variety of interests will be held throughout.
If you wish to lead a workshop,
